Erick Sanabria-Hernandes, who was living in Stamford, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of illegal reentry into the United States earlier this year.

Sanabria-Hernandes, 34, illegally entered the country and was busted by U.S. Border Patrol officers in May 2004 after he crossed the Mexican border. In August the following year, Sanabria-Hernandes failed to show up to an immigration hearing in San Antonio and he was ordered to be deported.

In December 2005, Sanabria-Hernandes was arrested by police in Stamford for threatening, carrying and selling a “dangerous weapon.” He was convicted, sentenced to 18 months behind bars and deported to Honduras in August 2007.

On July 10 last year, Sanabria-Hernandes, under the alias “Mery Sanabra-Hernandez” was arrested again in Stamford following a domestic incident. Sanabria-Hernandes was charged with assault, disorderly conduct, unlawful restraint, strangulation and interfering with an emergency call. He was convicted and sentenced to nine months in prison.

Sanabria-Hernandes was transferred into federal custody on April 30 and pleaded guilty to the charge on Sept. 19. He will face deportation again when he is released from custody.
